Environmental Stewardship
Biorestor is made from 100% agricultural oils. These oils leave a polymer residue to offer protection to the asphalt binder from oxidation.
Many surface sealers and or rejuvenators are petroleum or coal tar derived. These products have, to some degree, been classified as carcinogenic. Some of these are mild and others have a much higher degree of carcinogenic concern. In a recent report released by Environmental Health News (Click here to read the report) they state how coal-tar has been shown to pollute soil and water next to treated surfaces. A Google search of the terms "coal tar" and lawsuits comes back with over 193,000 results. A similar search of "coal tar" and bans shows over 649,000 results*. Areas of the country have outlawed the use of or are discussing this issue. Polycylic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH's) is the exact name of the emitted substance from coal tar and asphalt products and has been a growing concern over the past 10 years as this residue has become a more common and higher level of pollutant in our water and soil.
Biorestor contains ZERO PAH's
